Make those essays specific to the scholarship

With my son's college plans also came the fear of "How will I pay for this?"

We both searched. Then came the application process (what a headache) essays, transcripts. It was exciting to just get them off in the mail. Friends told us to make one generic essay and edit it towards each scholarship application. Bad Idea! We tried that and my son, God love him, had applied for a scholarship but failed to change the scholarship name in the essay. Obviously we didn't win that one! Now we customize individual essays for every scholarship. Don't learn the hard way!
