College Parent Magazine™ will give a $500 Scholarship to the college student or high school senior that submits the best essay on the topic:

"My Best Idea to Reduce Student Expenses"

Step 1: Complete entry form, write essay and submit.

Essays must be 500 words or less.
Entries must be received by May 15, 2010.

Step 2: Invite Friends and Family to Vote on Your Essay

Upon receiving notice that your essay has been accepted, begin sharing it by going to the “Share Essay” Tool.
Complete the Network Form and click "Invite Your Friends to Vote".
Your contact list will be displayed for the network you choose. Highlight those names you wish to invite and click “Invite”.

Step 3: Check Your Essay Often

Check your Essay and promote your link. (1 Vote / Day / Computer)

Of the top 10 Essay Finalists, 1 Winner and 1 Runner Up Essay will be chosen.
- 5 Essay Finalists will be chosen by receiving the most votes on their Essay Page.
- 5 Essay Finalists will be chosen as our “Wild Card” Essays chosen by the Editorial Team.

Essays will be evaluated on relevance, creativity and clarity, grammar, spelling and structure. Entries must be received by May 15, 2010. All Essay Finalists will be notified by May 25, 2010. Payment of the scholarship award will be made directly to the college being attended by the student for the payment of tuition for the entrant only.

Rules and Eligibility:

* Submission form must be completed in its entirety to enter this contest.
* Essays must be 500 words or less.
* Entries must be received by May 15, 2010.
* Competition is open to all current college students and highschool seniors.
* Only one entry per person.
* Scholarship award will be paid directly to the college being attended for the payment of tuition for the entrant only.
* Winning selection is made at the sole discretion of the editorial team of College Parent Magazine™.
* All submissions become the property of College Parent Magazine™.
* The winning essay will be published on the College Parent Website and in a subsequent issue of College Parent Magazine™ and is subject to editing.
* The contest is open to legal US residents only. This offer is void in any state or jurisdiction prohibiting offers or awards of this type or if otherwise prohibited by law.
